From the short history of Gisors to the great history of Normandy and France, the scriptwriter will take us through the centuries. The theme chosen this year is the Hundred Years’ War.

This conflict interspersed with truces shorter or longer has opposed the Kingdom of France and the one of England. Our town had an important strategic interest, although since 1194 it was attached to the French royal domain. The Castle was not any more a Frontalier strong place but a bastion to contain the advance of the English troops!

The music is recorded in studio, the story is supported by a light show, fireworks, image projection and laser effects. This exceptional alchemy rekindles the magnificent fortress of Gisors nine times centenary.
